A letter of recommendation is a formal document that validates someone’s work, skills or academic performance. This is a chance for the writer to assess and address the qualities, characteristics, and capabilities of the person being recommended.
Letters of recommendation, when required, are highly important for the college, intern or leadership admission team. It can help them form a more holistic view of the student and how they might perform at their institution or in their program. While applications and test scores are helpful, letters of recommendation provide them with a more personal look into the student’s best qualities.
